We all know that a new year brings a time where we promise ourselves that we’ll lose the extra few pounds put on over the festive season.
That’s why we’re introducing the ‘Healthy Habits’ campaign.
We all start off with the best intentions, but after a couple of weeks, the gym membership card starts getting a bit dusty, the quinoa and kale packed in lunchboxes starts getting replaced by white bread and mayo, and the 4pm treat of a chocolate bar starts to creep back into your daily routine (even though it was banished from your desk mere weeks ago).
It’s so easy to do it; to fall back into those routines and habits that may be more convenient for our busy lifestyles, but at the cost of adding more sugar and other bad stuff into our diets.
We're here to help.
Throughout 2017, we’re going to show you how you can make small but easy changes to your daily habits to make sure that you're eating the best you can, without adding any unnecessary sugar, additives or preservatives.
It’s about making a salad for lunch instead of your normal sandwiches, swapping the chips from your dinner for sweet potato fries and getting off the bus a stop early so you can walk the rest of the way.
Zoe and Jess from the Marketing Department in Head Office are embarking on a ‘Healthy Habits challenge’ - to change their habits for the healthier ones, to lose a couple of dress sizes, and to embrace a healthier, happier mind-set.
They'll be posting about their journey on social media so other people can join in with their own challenge. They’ll be sharing the ups (and the downs) of the journey, as well as healthy recipes and simple exercises.
If you see us around, please share your words of encouragement, but most importantly – get involved!
You can offer us your suggestions of swap outs on your meals for healthier items, give us some good ideas for some recipes that you've given a go, or even share with us what you've been doing.
Use the hashtag #healthyhabits, follow us on social media, and look out for in-store events and activities over the next few months.
