General Assistant (Check outs) | Grand Marché St Helier

Hours: Full-time, 39 hrs

Job Role

We are looking for a general assistant to join our team at Grand Marché St Helier.

You will be in a key customer-facing role to help assist customers with a speedy checkout at till points and self-pay points. General Assistants play a key role in attaining the highest possible standards of customer service.

Duties include:

  1. Providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their enquiries

  2. Maintaining a clean and hygienic and uncluttered working area

  3. Supervise and operate checkouts

  4. Supporting colleagues as part of a good team work ethic

No experience is necessary as full training will be provided, however, good written and verbal English is a requirement, as is the ability to deliver great customer service.

The role can be at times physically challenging and will involve reaching, bending and lifting of stock and standing for long periods of time.

Although this is a full time role, due to the demands of our business we do operate shift work and ask that applicants are flexible to work various shifts as and when needed.
