Meat & Fish Counter Assistant | Grand Marché St Helier
We are looking for an assistant to join our team at Grand Marché St Helier on our meat and fish counter.
Counter assistants play a key role in attaining the highest possible standards of customer service, merchandising and all shop floor duties to maximise sales while working within the Society’s mission, vision and values.
- Providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their enquiries
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic and uncluttered working area
- Correct completion of HACCP records
- Preparation including marinating, filleting and preparing meat for the counter
- A willingness to study Basic Food Hygiene Course
- Supporting colleagues as part of a good team work ethic
Previous experience in this environment is desired, including a certificate in Food Hygiene, along with previous food preparation skills. However, these are not essential as full training will be provided. You should have the ability to deliver great customer service is essential as well as have good written and verbal English.
Although this is a full-time role of 39 hours per week, you should be willing to be flexible to meet the needs of trading hours, will include weekends.
