De Gruchy Funeral Care director achieves funeral administration diploma
Shane Hatherley has achieved the Diploma in Funeral Arranging and Administration.
A funeral director at De Gruchy Funeral Care, which is part of The Channel Islands Co-operative Society Limited, Shane completed the year long course and was awarded his diploma at a ceremony at Birmingham City University.
The National Association of Funeral Directors’ (NAFD) course is designed for professionals working in the funeral service for six months or more as a funeral arranger and administrator or funeral director. As a part of the course, Shane completed five mandatory modules designed to equip funeral arrangers and administrators with the comprehensive knowledge and skills required to perform effectively in the role.
Shane is now working towards the NAFD Diploma in Funeral Directing. When he achieves this qualification, Shane will be the only funeral director in Jersey to hold the highest qualification in the funeral directing profession.
