Tree planting with 'Birds on the Edge'
On Sunday 4th February a team of nearly 30 volunteers made up from our members and colleagues came together to help Birds On The Edge plant over 500 saplings in a space of 250 metres which is a quarter of the projects total target.
We were able to support this initiative with a £2,000 donation from our Eco Fund, which went towards buying saplings to plant and restore the hedges, which in turn will provide a home and food for endangered birds, insects and most of Jersey’s wild creatures.
Our Eco Fund provides grants to worthy local projects that aim to protect and regenerate our local environment.
