Register to vote online in the 2017 Director elections

This year we are making it more convenient for you to have a say on how your Society is run by launching online voting for the upcoming director elections.

There will still be opportunities to vote in-store or at the Annual Members' Meeting and we will announce these dates shortly.

The list of candidates standing for election will be available in-store and on our website from Thursday 6th April 2017.

What you need to do to register

If you are interested in voting in the election, you will need to register and apply here through our registration portal before 5pm on Friday 31st March 2017. 

We will check your details to verify your eligibility to vote and to make sure the information we hold for you is up to date.

You will then be sent an email confirmation once you are registered.

How to vote once you're registered 

​You will receive your voting details by email from the week starting Monday 10th April 2017 and you can submit your vote anytime up until 5pm on Sunday 30th April 2017.

Timeline of events 

  • Monday 13th March @ 9am: registration to vote online opens
  • Friday 31st March @ 5pm: registration to vote online closes 
  • Thursday 6th April: list of candidates available in-store and online  
  • Monday 10th April: voting opens (you will receive a confirmation email over the next few weeks with details as to how to vote)
  • Sunday 30th April @ 5pm: voting closes 

Terms and conditions: registering to vote online 

  1. Members must register to be able to vote for the candidate of your choice

  2. Registration is open from 9am on Monday 13th March 2017 and closes at 5pm on Friday 31st March 2017. It will not be possible to register after this time.

  3. You will receive notification to the email address you supplied, if your registration has been successful

  4. You may be unable to register if:

  • You are not a Member of the Society
  • You are not the primary account holder
  • You have been a Member of the Society for less than six months
  • The information you have supplied is different from that held for you.

If you're unsuccessful in registering to vote, we will advise you by email.

In the case of unsuccessful registration due to the information you supplied being different from that held by the Society, you must update your information with us no later than Friday 31st March 2017.

Members who update their information with us after Friday 31st March 2017 will not be registered to vote online but can vote either in-store or at the Annual Members Meeting (AMM).
