A Helping Hand for Beresford Street Kitchen

A Helping Hand for Beresford Street Kitchen

07 January 2019

Thanks to our members and customers, every year we're able to support local charities and community groups in Jersey and Guernsey through our Helping Hands fund.

Last year, one of the successful applicants in Jersey was Beresford Street Kitchen.

Beresford Street Kitchen is a social enterprise that provides opportunities to young adults with learning disabilities or autism. In 2018, they set up a print shop above their café, and applied for funding to help train a person there.

The café and print shop have been vital in building confidence and a social life for some of the young adults. Watch the video to find out just how important this project has been:

We were thrilled to be able to support such a worthy local cause as Beresford Street Kitchen though Helping Hands. So much so that we've since ordered our 250 CI Pride T-Shirts from their print shop team.

If you have a project that could do with a helping hand, why not apply to our Helping Hands fund? The scheme is open for applications each January for one month.
