Coop Fairtrade Chardonnay

A deliciously tropical Chardonnay from South Africa's Breede River Valley.

The image on the front label shows Fairtrade Initiative at Du Toitskloof which is supported by sales of this wine; it provides daycare facilities, healthcare and education to more than 200 children. Together we are changing lives.

Tasting note: This crisp Chardonnay has aromas of citrus and tropical fruits. Beautifully succulent with lovely fruit flavours of passion fruit and pineapple. It matches well with fish and chicken dishes.

Fairtrade Fact: In 2014, the Bovlei Community Preschool was renovated by Bosman Family Vineyards and The Coop. Today, 100 children have a state-of-the-art educational facility to start their school career.

Coop Fairtrade Pinot Grigio

Origin: Argentina

Tasting note: A refreshingly vibrant fruity wine with delicate floral aromas which complement its refreshing apple and citrus fruit flavours.

Fairtrade Fact: Pictured on the front label is the vineyard where this wine comes from, together with one of the labourers at harvest time. Sales of this wine helped to pay for a water pump and reservoir to provide a regular clean water supply. Previously Tilimuqui residents would go up to four days without access to water

Coop Fairtrade Cabernet Sauvignon

Origin: Argentina

Tasting note: This Cabernet Sauvignon is a sophisticated wine, full bodied with concentrated dark fruit aromas, spicy overtones and a hint of vanilla.

Fairtrade Fact: Fairtrade Premiums and grants from The Coop have funded a water facility with a well, electric pump and storage tanks that supply residents with clean drinking water

Coop Fairtrade Merlot

A gorgeous, well-structured Merlot from Argentina. The front label of this wine shows the spectacular surroundings of the Famatina Valley, where this wine is made. Its rural, isolated community benefits from a range of social projects funded by sales of this wine.

Tasting note: A soft, smooth plummy merlot. Full of enticing rich, dark red fruits with good underlying tannins and a satisfying finish.

Fairtrade Fact: The money from Fairtrade sales has supported campaigns to teach local communities to care for their environment, including a reforestation project.

Tilimuqui Fairtrade Sparkling

A delicious sparkling wine from northern Argentina.

Tasting notes: Full of elegant, ripe fruits. Hints of peach, grapefruit, and lime.on the palate. Pairs well with seafood starters, light salads, grilled chicken, Thai cuisine, citrus-flavoured desserts, and goat’s cheese.

Fairtrade fact: Proceeds from this wine contribute to the provision of a major new healthcare centre near the village of Tilimuqui.
