We’re currently looking for a Learning & Development Assistant to join our People Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the delivery of high-quality learning initiatives and play a key role in developing our colleagues across the Society.

About the role

As a Learning & Development Assistant, you’ll provide essential administrative and practical support to our Learning & Development Officers, helping to bring our L&D Strategy to life across the business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the coordination and delivery of learning and development programmes
  • Assisting in the creation and preparation of training materials
  • Working closely with L&D Officers, People Business Partners, internal teams and external providers
  • Providing support to managers and in-store trainers with training needs and queries
  • Coordinating mandatory training such as First Aid, Fire Marshal and other Health & Safety courses
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date training records and systems
  • Managing the L&D and Inductions inbox, responding to queries in a timely manner
  • Producing and supporting monthly training KPIs and reports
  • Assisting with L&D projects, including careers fairs, Project Retail and customer service initiatives
  • Supporting uniform distribution and related administration

What we’re looking for

  • A positive, proactive and adaptable approach
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable using IT systems and administrative processes
  • An interest in Learning & Development or HR (experience is a bonus, but not essential)

Previous experience in L&D, HR or an administrative role would be advantageous, but full training will be provided making this a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in this field.
