Ask your pharmacist
Your Coop Pharmacy is the best place to go to get any prescription medicines and medical advice for minor health concerns. But they can do a lot more than that.
As well as helping with common illnesses – like sore throats, coughs, colds, tummy troubles and aches and pains – our pharmacists can also help with stopping smoking, cutting down on alcohol, advice on safe sex and emergency contraception.
Pharmacists are trained experts in managing minor illnesses and using medicines safely. They can advise you on the safe use of prescriptions and over-the-counter medicines.
Pharmacy technicians can help with things like inhaler technique, or helping you understand the correct dose of a new medicine and how often you need to take it.
As qualified healthcare professionals, pharmacists have the right training to make sure you get the help you need. If your symptoms suggest that something is more serious, then they will advise you if you need to see a GP.
