De Gruchy’s Funeral Care has been part of the Channel Islands Co-operative Society and locally owned by islanders since 2009.
We are a small team of qualified and highly experienced funeral directors, assistants and bearers and civil funeral celebrants.
Getting your funeral right matters to us and we pride ourselves on the personal service and the attention to detail that we give at affordable prices. We are here to guide, advise and support you through what can be a difficult time, trying to make things as easy as they can be while giving the person who has died the very best send-off.
We are the only funeral directors in Jersey to be members of the National Association of Funeral Directors and the Funeral Planning Authority and adhere strictly to its code of practice.
We will always provide you with a quote and you are welcome to talk to us, or to meet us to discuss planning a funeral with us, without any obligation.
We are able to arrange repatriation and also offer funeral plans, free of charge, to ensure your Expression Of Wishes are as you would like them and at the price you want. Members of the Co-operative Society can receive dividend on funeral services and pre-paid funeral plans.
Services & facilities
When you have contacted us to let us know of a death, we will arrange to collect the person who has died and bring them into our care. We will look after them, and you, as you then start to think about arranging a funeral service and we guide and support you along the way.
We will then ring you to arrange an appointment to discuss things in more detail. We can meet you at our funeral home, or at your home and guide you through the different decisions to be made. You don’t need to decide everything at once and things may change along the way but we are always available 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, should you want to contact us at any time.
We have two rooms at our funeral home which can be used, free of charge, for small services. We also have a coffin show room and various ashes keepsakes for you to see in person, should you wish.
Please come in and see us any time or contact us for more information or quotations.
We are proud to set the standard of funeral care in Jersey. Backed by the Co-operative principle of openness, honesty and caring for others, we offer a level of dignity, support and attention that you should not only expect but need.
* A funeral plan is our way of putting down all the specific requirements for your particular funeral. It also gives you options to pay in full or in installments.
