Meet the producer: Woodside Farm
Our family have been farming these fields since 1887. The work has been passed down for five generations so far, and the next generation of the family has just joined the team. That history matters to us. It means care, patience, and sticking with what works. We grow all sorts of crops, but potatoes are still a big part of what we do. It’s something we know well, and we take time to do it right.

All our potatoes are brushed and polished instead of washed. This helps keep them fresher for longer, which also means we don’t use huge quantities of water to pack them, and we are managing to reduce the carbon footprint of our potatoes year on year. Our packaging is 100% recyclable and made from sustainable materials. Every part of it has been chosen with care – from the ink to the paper. We’ve cut out the unnecessary plastic and made sure it can be recycled easily for you at home. Sustainability is not a side project – it's part of every step from field to plate. We keep waste low and constantly look for better ways to grow and pack our produce.

Island Fresh are based in the heart of Trinity. That’s where everything happens – from planting to packing. It also means we’re close to the people we work with and the people who buy from us. We believe in keeping a balance between the land, our team, our suppliers and our customers. We want to leave the farm in a better shape for the next generation. That’s why we work in a way that supports biodiversity, cuts waste and respects the environment. We’ve built systems that are made to last, not just for today, but for the years ahead. This is what we’ve always done, and what we want to continue doing going into the future.
