Co-op receives a nomination in the Jersey Style Awards 2019
The Channel Islands Co-op receives a nomination in the Jersey Style Awards 2019
The Society is excited to announce that it has received a nomination ahead of this year’s annual Jersey Style Awards.
Known as one of Jersey’s most glamorous and exclusive events, we have been recognised in a brand new category for this year’s event called ‘Corporate Philanthropy’. The award seeks to highlight the positive contribution that local firms and businesses have given back to our island.
The Society has been nominated for its contribution to the community in a number of ways including our:
• Helping Hands and Eco Fund
• Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Scheme and Quiet Hour
• Work with charities throughout the year
• Meet your neighbour initiative
• Be a Good Egg Easter campaign
• Jersey Royal Potato Growing Competition sponsorship
• Variety Young Star of the Year sponsorship
Our Chief Executive Officer, Colin Macleod said: “All of us at the Co-op are extremely proud to be in a category which recognises our work in our local community such as our ‘Meet your Neighbour’, ‘Be a Good Egg’ and ‘Hidden Disability’ Schemes to name but a few. It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our colleagues who continually live out our values every day. It is a privilege to be nominated in this category at such a prestigious ceremony.”
The winner of the Corporate Philanthropy category is decided by a public vote which takes place via an online poll and opens 17 May 2019 and closes 7 June.
Winners will be announced at this year's ceremony taking place on 11 July at the Royal Jersey Showground.
If you’ve been supported by a Helping Hands or Eco Fund grant recently, have been part of a fundraiser supported by the Society, or if you are benefitting from the difference by our ‘Quiet Hour’ or ‘Sunflower Lanyard’ initiatives bring, then please do vote for us at www.jerseystyleawards.com
