Job Title: PHARMACIST
Location: Pharmacy Locale - All Locations
Hours: Full Time - 39 Hours per week 
Job Role:

The successful applicant will be highly motivated to provide a comprehensive dispensing service in a busy pharmacy environment; together with working with the GPs to develop and deliver a range of new pharmacy lead services.

The role requires excellent communication and customer service skills, exceptional standards, attention to detail together with the ability and desire to deliver a comprehensive dispensing service.  

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Dispensing of medicines, appliances and other medical devices as per Code of Ethics.
  • Providing information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage and proper medication storage.
  • Analysing prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance and to prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions.
  • Ordering pharmaceutical supplies, medical supplies and drugs, maintaining stock and storing in a correct an appropriate manner.
  • Receiving, checking off and storing of stock according to standards expected and trained
  • Maintaining records such as pharmacy files, patient medication records and registries of controlled drugs.
  • Providing specialized services to help patients manage conditions.
  • Advising patients and selling appropriate OTC medicines.
  • Advising and counselling in treatment of minor ailments
  • Ensuring safe disposal of expired and returned medicines
  • Supervising, training and coaching pharmacy support staff and student technicians
  • You will at all times use your professional judgment to act in the best interest of your patients.
  • You will work both in accordance with the standard operating procedures governing the pharmacy, and within the legal and ethical guidelines necessary to carry out your role.
  • Maintaining level of knowledge in line with General Pharmaceutical Council expectations of continued professional development.
  • In addition to dispensing drugs, treatments and providing advice, you need to ensure treatments are compatible, liaise with doctors and supervise technicians, as well as numerous other ad hoc tasks.
  • Co-ordinating teams and delivering all services that form part of the pharmacy service.
  • You will control and give correct advice and information to aid patients to both maintain and improve their health.

Job Title: MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT
Location: Co-operative House, St. Helier
Hours: Full Time - 39 Hours per week
Job Role:

The Co-operative Group are expanding their Finance Team with a new role which has been created to manage the Establishment Costs of the Society.  All of the Society’s businesses – Retail, Medical, Funeral, Central – have expenditure which is common such as Utility, Facilities Management, Property & Operating Costs.

Reporting into the Head of Management Accounts, the Society is looking for a Qualified Accountant to ensure that these costs are accounted for correctly.  In addition to this the role holder will provide a level of support and challenge to the Operational teams to ensure that the appropriate decisions are taken to support the Society’s goals.

Previous experience in Financial Management in a Retail, Wholesale, Utilities, Property or another Fast Moving Consumer Goods would be an advantage.  The successful applicant will become part of one of the Channel Islands’ largest and most successful companies which prides itself on keeping its values of co-operation, openness, passion, empowerment and recognition at the centre of every decision.
