Member Rewards - Terms and conditions

These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") (together with the documents referred to on in) sets out the contractual terms on which Members may be part of the Member Rewards from The Channel Islands Co-operative Society Limited's (the "Society" or the "Channel Islands Co-op"). These Terms may change from time to time and without prior notice. Such changes will supersede and cancel our previous agreements in relation to the Member Rewards. If Members do not agree to be bound by these Terms, the Society will be unable to offer these Rewards.

1. General

  1. Members Rewards, as outlined on the Channel Islands Co-op website, are made available to Members through profits being re-investred back into the Society. 
  2. The Society reserves the right to withdraw, amend or substitute Member Rewards at any time without prior notice.
  3. Member Rewards are only available to Members of the Channel Islands Coop.
  4. Members must have a valid Share account with the Channel Islands Coop.
  5. Rewards are valid for online or in-store sales of £40 or more.
  6. The Society's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 
  7. These Terms are governed by the laws of Jersey and Guernsey
  8. Member Rewards are in addition to the current dividend paid that Members earn on their qualifying purchases. 
  9. Membership of the Society is bound by specific Terms and Conditions, full details of which can be found on our website. 

2. About us

  1. The Society is registered under the Industrial & Provident Societies Act 1965 - 1978 (Industrial & Provident Societies (Channel islands) Order 1965 - 1978) and have our registered office at Co-operative House, 57 Don Street, St Helier, Jersey JE2 4TR. The Society is registered with the Mutuals Section of the Financial Conduct Authority in the United Kingdom (Number 14672R). The Financial Conduct Authority acts as Registrar for Industrial & Provident Societies (Co-operatives).

3. Who is eligible? 

  1. Any Members of the Channel Islands Co-op with a Share account.
  2. To qualify for the Member Rewards, Members must spend the qualifying threshold minimum spend of £40
  3. Charity share numbers may be quoted at point-of-sale transactions to benefit from the Member Rewards. 
  4. Share numbers must be active accounts. I.e. not close, dormant or not applicable in the Channel Islands. 

4. How to participate 

  1. To participate in the Member Rewards, Members must have a share account with the Channel Islands Coop.
  2. Member Rewards events take place on the specified advertised days as determined by the Channel Islands Coop 
  3. Members must spend at least £40 in store or online, on the advertised dates to qualify for the Member Reward. The shop must be above £40 spend before the 10% discount can be applied
  4. Member's must state their A share number when transacting
  5. Exclusions apply - non qualifying purchases are:
    1. Fuel
    2. Tobacco
    3. Gift Vouchers
    4. Guernsey Electricity Key Card
    5. Home Delivery Charges
    6. Lottery Tickets
    7. Parking Paycards
    8. Pay as you go SIM and Top up cards (Airtel, JT & Sure)
    9. Petrol
    10. Postage Stamps
    11. School Bus Tickets
    12. Recycling bag labels (in Guernsey)
    13. Pharmaceutical related prescription charges, private prescriptions, SPS co-payment 
  6. Members can only receive the discount with the minimum spend on the advertised Member reward days. It is not applicable on any other days or date
  7. The Society cannot accept liability for any errors on till transactions, self-service till errors, discrepancies on promotional offers, system failures, network errors, website unavailability, hacks on the system, personal computer issues or any other issue out of our reasonable control.
  8. Where a Member has met the minimum spend, but has not received the discount, they can still receive the Member reward, as long as they still have proof of receipt from the dates of the Member Rewards.
  9. This offer cannot be used with any other promotion (E.g. , Fuel vouchers or dividend vouchers). 
  10. Colleague Discount cards may be used in conjunction with this offer, but only if the colleague is also a Member and meets the minimum spend threshold
  11. Gift vouchers may still be used to pay for the goods. 

5. Data protection

  1. During the process, we will collect, store and process data in accordance with our Privacy Policies.
  2. Personal data that you provide to us, for example your name and contact details, are processed in order to communicate with you during the Member application process, or to help resolve ant queries you may have with your Share account.
