Roast turkey crown
Follow this simple recipe for the perfect roast turkey

1. Medium Coop British turkey crown (approx 2.5 kg)
2. 100g Coop unsalted butter
3. 12 Coop Irresistible smoked bacon rashers
4. Sage leaves or 4 rosemary stalks (optional)
5. 2 bulbs garlic
6. 1 pack Coop pork, sage and onion stuffing balls
7. 1 pack Coop Irresistible sticky plum puddings
8. 2 x pack Coop British pork chipolatas wrapped in streaky bacon
9. 3 satsumas, halved


1. Preheat the oven to 190C/fan 170C/Gas 5
2. Weigh the turkey and calculate the cooking time. If frozen, make sure it's fully defrosted
3. Rub the turkey crown all over with butter. Lay the bacon rashers on top in a lattice, and poke the herbs in between, if using
4. Cut the garlic bulbs in half and put into the roasting tin. Cover the turkey with a loose foil tent and roast for the cooking time
5. 30 mins before the end of cooking, cook the stuffing and chipolatas according to the pack instructions
6. With 20 mins left, remove the foil from the turkey, add the satsuma halves to the tin and continue to roast
7. To make sure it's cooked, pierce the fattest part of the turkey, the juices should run clear
8. Serve on a platter with the stuffing balls, plum puddings, satsuma halves, garlic and chipolatas
