We have supported 28 projects in our first funding pay-out of 2021, donating a total of £24,969 across the islands.

Guernsey

Rosaire Community Association

Rosiare Community Chorus – a community choir for people over 55. Funds will be spent on a choir facilitator for 40 weeks.

Grief Café. A safe environment for anyone suffering to have support, build networks and provide the key stepping-stones in the grief process.

Distributing seed packs at 30th Anniversary events to encourage people to start their own pollinator patches. Working with the Pollinator Project.

Provision of information boards for the Port Soif Nature Trail, to provide an education tool to further explain the flora/fauna and wildlife to be seen.

Education Day on June 19th 2021. This event is to provide education and peer support to people living with Diabetes in the Bailiwick. Funds to go towards venue hire and catering.

Thrive Outside 2021 is providing 1,033 primary school children with a fortnight of outdoor learning opportunities to inspire their ongoing education. Funds will be spent on equipment hire.

Jersey Trees for Life

Purchase a fully lockable secure metal waterproof and fireproof storage unit, allowing the old, broken shed to be reused by the grounds team for shelter and wellbeing during increment weather.

SOCIAL.FEED is a new programme to provide high quality produce to young islanders and to welcome them to conversation about food, climate, health and our island's history and culture.

National Trust for Jersey

Purchase of equipment for the Plemont Seabird Project, which aims to set up an inter-Island long-term monitoring scheme for seabirds and mammals with the use of automated acoustic recorders.

To regenerate and make safe a small patch of ground in the playground. This supports 229 pupils and local families who will benefit from the use of the new equipment.

Enhanced care boxes will help carers engage with patients who have dementia or are in hospital with the need of 1:1 care. This funding will go towards dementia friendly robotic cats.
