We supported 29 projects in October 2021, donating a total of £25,016 across the islands. 

Jersey

First Tower School 

To buy equipment and furnishings for the nurture provision. Supporting the increasing number of pupils identified with social, emotional and mental health needs.

Social clubs for adults living with family carers. The funds will support a programme of health, wellbeing and respite opportunities including fitness, yoga, zumba, walks, day trips and indoor activities.

Supporting young people to refurbish and redesign a room in their youth club. The space will provide a calm environment and safe space in which to improve their mental health and wellbeing.

The Resolution Centre 

Creating a peer mediation scheme in a primary school. The funds will be used to supplement the design, development, delivery and initial set up costs of creating the scheme and rolling it out.

Voluntary Community Transport Service - funds will go towards the annual licence fee for an IT system that enables the charity to more easily co-ordinate the service.

Roustel Ward, Princess Elizabeth Hospital  

Roustel ward is one of the continuing care wards at the hospital. Funds will help staff purchase crockery to be used in a new cafe within the ward community, supporting residents and their visitors.

To buy five pairs of good quality, small, lightweight binoculars for children to use on outings, helping school children to learn about local birds and wildlife.

Rosiare Community Chorus – a community choir for people over 55. Funds will be spent on a choir facilitator for 40 weeks.

Purchase a fully lockable secure metal waterproof and fireproof storage unit, allowing the old, broken shed to be reused by the grounds team for shelter and wellbeing during increment weather.
