We are looking for Pharmacy Stock Assistant to join our team primarily at our Care Hub base.
The purpose of the Role:
To support the Activities of the Pharmacists, Dispensary and Counter assistant colleagues in the smooth operational running of the Pharmacy.
The successful candidate will:
- Record, de-blister, organise and help manage medication within the Care Hub pharmacy.
- Provide proactive support in the retail or dispensary area of the pharmacy. Dealing with tasks assigned sensitively, patiently, discreetly and confidentially, demonstrating good interpersonal and prioritisation skills.
- Apply basic knowledge relevant to their role, with an awareness and understanding of a broad range of relevant work procedures and practices. Ensuring all duties to be carried out in accordance with the business’ standard operating procedures.
- Able to organise their own day to day activities once tasks are assigned. Ensures all Customer / Medication Records / Paperwork are maintained accurately and stored securely to ensure customer safety whilst complying with data protection requirements.
- Support the safe and correct transfer of dispensed items / prescription medications to correct storage locations
- Help support stock ordering, replenishment and organisation for pharmacy following training. Receiving, checking and storing orders / stock in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with standard operating procedures. Ensuring all stock is stored appropriately and safely. Handling all medicines / stock strictly in accordance with expected standards / regulations / training undertaken.
- Be responsible for carrying out general maintenance and housekeeping, ensuring all work areas are clean and tidy and shelves are filled with optimum amounts of stock.
All we need from you is:
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to communicate with a variety of people, understand the roles assigned and carry out work independently with confidence and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Good attention to detail, demonstrating accuracy and precision.
- Able to use technology / software relevant to their tole to a basic level. Including machinery (upon training) and Microsoft Office suite, to deliver quality outputs.
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of The Society Aims ad Values
- Able to demonstrate drive, commitment and enthusiasm along with willingness to contribute to the team.
- Previous work experience is desirable but not essential.
- A DBS Check will be required.
